Na ruim 25 jaar als Senior Support Data Analyst in de fintech sector bevind ik mij op een cruciaal kruispunt. Door een genetische afwijking (C8orf37-gen) heb ik te maken met progressieve macula degeneratie. Dit betekent dat mijn centrale zicht snel achteruitgaat, waardoor traditioneel, beeldscherm-intensief IT-werk op termijn onmogelijk wordt.
Echter, waar zicht afneemt, groeit de visie. Ik zie een unieke kans om mijn jarenlange analytische ervaring te combineren met de kracht van AI. Mijn doel is niet om langs de zijlijn te staan, maar om organisaties te helpen bij het optimaliseren van processen en het inzetten van technologie om werkplekken écht inclusief te maken.
Waarom deze organisaties? (Motivatie)
Mijn zoektocht naar een nieuwe plek is gebaseerd op een bewuste strategie. Ik zoek een omgeving waar mijn analytisch vermogen belangrijker is dan mijn ogen:
- Van Scherm naar Strategie: Rollen bij de overheid bieden ruimte voor strategisch advies en proces-auditing waarbij gesproken en gehoorde informatie de monitor vervangt.
- Maatschappelijk Nut: Ik wil mijn skills inzetten voor organisaties die bijdragen aan de Friese cultuur, historie en natuur.
- Ervaringsdeskundige in AI: Implementeren van AI-oplossingen die barrières voor mensen met een beperking doorbreken.

After more than 25 years as a Senior Support Data Analyst in the fintech sector, I find myself at a critical crossroads. Due to a genetic condition (C8orf37 gene), I am dealing with progressive macular degeneration. This means my central vision is rapidly declining, making traditional, screen-intensive IT work impossible in the long term.
However, where vision fades, insight grows. I see a unique opportunity to combine my years of analytical experience with the power of AI. My goal is to help organizations optimize their processes and leverage technology to make workplaces truly inclusive.
